since i havent seen it brought up before and this weeks article was interesting in and of itself - i thought id provide a link to the advice columnist dan savage. his column is called savage love. link - thestranger.com/seattle/SavageLove
this week he admits that sometimes he just doesnt have an answer for some of the mail he receives - and thus they usually dont get published as letters. then he goes on to publish a bunch of letters and offers to let the audience provide solutions. if i were to pick one to try itd be the one about the gay couple where one finally went to get his MTF operation and the husband is weirded out now by his boobs... my advice would be that out of respect for your relationship you should try to see how it might continue to work - but to talk about your feelings right now and get into some TG support groups to discuss options. and yes, you were a hypocrite for saying youd love him "no matter what" because it is truly the rare individual that can followup on that promise for all values of "what" - even if they know beforehand what "what" might be.
anyways - dan savage is credited with coining the word santorum, popularizing the acronyms GGG and DTMFA, and ive enjoyed reading his column for years. he does not specialize in bisexuals, but he has talked about their issues on occassion - and since i had mentioned his column i couple times before i thought id bring up the link.
does anyone follow him like i do? usually agree with him? disagree? hugs, h.

Re: savage love
Thu, January 10, 2008 - 1:57 AMSavage is usually pretty funny and often insightful. It's definitely funny to read his chosen subject matter in the free city paper. I've actually seen his articles in the Weekly's all over the West Coast. I'd guess his articles are published nationally, ya? -

Re: savage love
Thu, January 10, 2008 - 2:10 AMi think he is national - i used to read him in the onion (and yes, he can be LOL funny). im sure he is syndicated somehow. :) glad to know youve heard of him. i dig the fact that he has ann landers (or was it dear abbys) desk that he writes from. i used to read those two gals when i was a kid too. it is always fun to peer into others lives and see if there are ways to help. and heck, i always end up learning about new kinks or possibilities too.
